Location
The Fairhaven Trading Post is located within Fairhaven's market street in Joriah, towards the center of town and is incredibly easy to locate due to it's location and the merchant's scales painting on the sign.
Atmosphere and Appearance
This general store is a large, two story building with double doors and a porch that extends out on the front, filled with neatly stacked miscellaneous crates and barrels. There are large windows with displays of available goods and wares, including clothing, food staples and general supplies; this building is built for function and have not spared costs for decorations. The second floor is the homestead for the owner and her daughter.
The inside is shelves upon shelves, floor to ceiling with merchandise with a long wooden counter with a brass scale and cash box next to some closed off stairs leading up to the second floor. The products are organised into sections: tools, clothing, food, travel supplies and curiosities, each kept neat and mostly well stocked, including a locked cabinet where you can spy some items you imagine to be quite valuable to commonfolk. In the corner is a couple of comfy chairs and a small table with a notebook and pen, you imagine it could be for weary travelers or discussing larger transactions.
Staff
Brena Brightfield, a sharp-eyed human female in her 50s, graying red hair pulled back into a practical ponytail with a pleasant but small smile on her face. She will warm up quickly to most people, but keeps things strictly business initially as she doesn't like to get attached to people just travelling through. She used to be a travelling merchant and grew used to passing people by, but settled down after inheriting the store and now cares deeply for familiar faces.
Vivienne Brightfield, a youngish human female in her 20s, she has vibrant red hair that sits in a neat bun atop her head, a thin layer of makeup and a overly friendly but a little vapid personality. Daughter of Brena, she helps her mother around the shop and will fawn over any young handsome traveler that enters the shop, much to her mother's dismay. She seems content with her life, knowing she'll take over the shop one day.
