The Unsunk Treasure is located towards the market area of Tarrinport, Joriah, the small-ish building would be difficult to locate if it weren't for the bright coat of paint that draws the eye to the very large display windows. If you're looking something specific that isn't magic but you're not sure who would sell it, it is worth a look here.
Atmosphere and Appearance
The narrow, three-story building looks squeezed between two much larger establishments but still manages to stand out with it's turquoise coat of paint and white trim, although it is looking quite weathered. There are two very large display windows on either side of the entrance that each contain a large treasure chest, the ever-changing items for sale displayed as if the chests are overflowing with the treasure available for purchase. The entry is obscured through a beaded curtain of seashells and a hand-painted sign hangs just above, reading "The Unsunk Treasure" and decorated with painted seahorses and starfish.
Stepping inside feels like stepping into a nautical treasure cave, every surface is covered with items from across the known world and the air smells of sea salt, exotic spices and old wood. The towering displays and shelves create narrow pathways that wind through the store and if there is an organisation system, you certainly aren't sure what it is. A few sections seem to be labelled, the Global Curiosities section, the Ship Model Gallery, the Practical Supply and the Mystery Corner but beyond these, items feel scattered and erratic. The counter is immediately to the left as you walk in, however it is usually unmanned until Brenna hears someone walk in.
The second floor a couple of rooms that houses the overflow of stock that currently doesn't fit or feel right to be downstairs in the shop, in an organisation system that only makes sense to Brenna. Wooden crates, barrels and shelves hold thousands of additional items, roughly organized by... something? One of the rooms is her appraisal workshop where new acquisitions are examined, meetings are held with new customers seeking answers and she conducts her research; the desk is covered with magnifying glasses, reference books, small tools for detailed examinations and a Driftglobe.
The third floor is Brenna's living quarters, a cozy apartment with her personal collection of items that are too precious or meaningful to sell. The walls display her favourite maps and drawings of ships she has served on, the shelves show her favourite mementos and treasures from her travelling days; she keeps her personal space far more minimalistic than the floors below.
