Summary
Thul Lodar is a city buried in the mountains of Yne. The few sources of natural light can only be found in the top layer of this excavated city as the levels continue down into the mountain, the main entry existing on the highest level, the Tempest Stratum. Each layer of the city is inspired by the merits of the elements as a nod to their gods of Elaimet, beginning with the ebb and flow of visitors like gusts of wind in the Tempest Strata with taverns and shops to re-supply and rest. The Flooding Stratum is home to the more specialized shops and city necessities, representing the water and lifeblood of the city that keeps everything running. As Yne has dwarven roots, the Mineral Stratum is the residences of the city, where they grow and become part of the kingdom, and the Blazing Stratum is the residences of those currently serving in Yneian military or cavalry, the fire that would burn those who would attempt to take down this stronghold. The final level, The Gilded Stratum, is the home of the royalty and nobles of Yne, including the castle itself. There is a large, round elevator shaft in the center of the city has two moving platforms, one in either direction at all times, which is the most efficient way to traverse Thul Lodar, however there are numerous staircases that can take you where you need to go.
Thul Lodar is also home to a rail system, built off the Tempest Stratum that has tunneled through the Attleholm Peaks and regularly ferries travelers and supplies to and from Fearth in Joriah.
