Fidget Fiddlewrench

- I grew up in Aerilon, the capital city of Joriah which is located in the foot of the mountains in the north of the kingdom

- I have no idea who my parents are or why my eyes are different colours and spent the entirety of my childhood at the Hope’s Heart Sanctuary.

- I was led me to believe that my parents gave me up for adoption, and as the years passed felt that the reason I was never fortunate enough to be adopted was that something must have been wrong with me.

- I was a highly curious and energetic child who found science and the mysteries of the world utterly fascinating, and poured all my energies into finding answers to my endless questions. I excelled academically but struggled to form relationships with my peers so led a rather solitary existence.

- When I turned 18 and it was time to leave the orphanage I received a sponsorship from an unknown source to attend the city university, which I gratefully accepted.

- Upon my departure I was given a box containing the papers pertaining to my admission to the orphanage along with my health and education records. The papers revealed that I had never been given up for adoption, instead I had been discovered as an infant alone in a basket underneath a destroyed cart and unidentified corpses near Teroara, south of Aerilon. Unable to be identified, the authorities placed me in the care of the local orphanage where I was to remain until I was claimed. Also in the box were the items found with me, which consisted of the clothes I had been found in, a pendant with an unusual insignia that had been around my neck and a heavily embossed leather-covered book that was entirely blank within.

- To support myself while studying, I found myself a position as a laboratory hand (aka cleaner) at the Aritificer’s Consortium, which is part of the Copper Coin Collective, a large merchant guild. The organisation became like a home to me, and once I completed my university education, I applied for and secured a position there as a junior researcher.

- I worked hard relishing the opportunities to expand my knowledge and please my employers, and was rewarded with a number of promotions. The most recent one awarded me entry to (some exclusive research unit) and my role is exploration and information gathering. For the first time in my life I have the opportunity to see the world beyond Aerilon and I am super keen to show to my employers that they are justified in their faith in me.
