Location
The Whispering Teapot is located within but towards the edge of the Sprawling Bazaar in Aerilon, Joriah, a quaint tavern that is well known by locals but doesn't particularly stand out on it's own, but follow the smell of good food and you'll probably land here.
Atmosphere and Appearance
The large, two story building of gray stone and ironwork, while well built, doesn't draw too much attention to this popular yet quiet tavern, an iron sign juts out into the street with a teapot made from bent metal. There are raised flower beds out the front on either side of the door with some herbs and various seasonal flowers that are very well kept and maintained and an iron bench for people just in need of a pause or a quick drink.
Inside is a large hearth, crackling away at one end of the room, a few patrons speak in hushed tones and a harp stands in a corner with strings being plucked by seemingly no one. Simple iron candle holders hang from the ceiling, providing a comforting low light for patrons, with brighter lights near the bar. The bar is well stocked and clean, comfortable seats around small tables with clean, simple patterned tablecloths and a lounge near the hearth that is often already claimed. The food is simple, but warm and comforting and the menu rarely changes.
Staff
Elara Kask, the owner, a tall, mature half-elf with long brown hair with a slight curl that she keeps free flowing, and dark, dark green eyes; she has been in the business for years, she's soft-spoken and strives to keep this place a quiet and safe haven for those who need it a moment from the hustle and bustle of the trading city of the continent. She knows the city and it's people well, however keeps her knowledge and secrets well guarded.
Thorne, a green-skinned male tiefling with even darker green horns that jut out of mid-length coal black hair like bulls horns, he's soft-spoken in the manner that he doesn't speak much, but his talent in cocktails is only matched by his ability to listen and aid Elara in keeping up with the city's comings and goings. Regulars will easily make friends with him as long as you remain on his good side, and sometimes provide information in return.
