Kom Durahl is an underground village, north-east of Yne and the capital city, Thul Lodar.

Summary

Kom Durahl is a small village based entirely underground in the north-east of Yne, commonly passed through, or overlooked, by travelers heading to Thul Lodar. It consists of very large tunnels that act like roads in a village and all the buildings and structures are built into the earth and stone, magically reinforced. They don't get the same level of traffic as Vorgulir, mostly due to some travelers just not finding the village and end up camping instead. Consists mostly of duregar as they are accustomed to living underground, but there are dwarves and other races, and they tend to be rather friendly to the ones who do find their underground village, and often curious about why they're travelling and how long it took them to find Kom Durahl.

Taverns

Tunneled Inn

- A large-sized carved structure, the only Inn found in Kom Durahl but it is quite large to cater for the travelers that pass through, with plenty of rooms to stay in.

- Found relatively close to the entrance, intentionally made easy to locate for the travelers who may have gotten lucky in finding their village, it basically looks like a standard single-story tavern building, windows included, just with no roof, but the name of the inn is painted above the door in bright colours.

- Inside always has some patrons, but everything, from the tables and chairs to the bar, is actually carved from the stone itself that the inn is made out of, making them immovable, there is a stash of stools in the corner for additional seating if necessary, and the tavern rooms are behind a door in the inn, that leads to a tunnel of rooms.

- Mysthel, owner, and older female duregar with bright white hair in a large braided bun on the back of her head, often seems brusque or abrasive so lets her partner be the face of the inn and serve behind the bar, Mysthel just comes out when she's needed.

- Arros, non-binary older dwarf, Mysthel's partner and the face of the inn, works behind the bar and does most of the selling and spruking, they have long red hair in dreadlocks, tied into a ponytail on their head, and they always have a smile, happy to chat.

- Talve, a male drow, white long hair that he keeps down, usually the tallest in the room but the whole village is designed to be able to cater for almost all races so he doesn't have to stoop down, enjoys working at the bar, can be quite flirty and loves new customers and people.

Shops

Market

- Most of the products that can be found in this village aren't sold in shops, per say, they're mostly sold in the market area where the villagers sell their wares to each other and to traveling traders, making their way through, found a little further underground than the inn.

Felbran's Supplies

- The general supply store, found near the market, pretty noticeable, there's little planters under the windows filled with various mushrooms and moss, and the door is always wide open with a beaded curtain made with wooden and metal beads, the name of the shop is carved in an arch above the entrance.

- Inside is pretty basic but quite stocked of various general supplies, often has one or two customers already.

- Thergus Felbran, a duregar with a bald head and a long white beard, getting on in years but still fit and agile, like to make his customers laugh but greatly dislikes people who try and haggle too much off the price.

Points of Interest

Fahldirs Station

- Found near the market, a very easy to spot carved structure, home of the Fahldirs in Kom Durahl.

- Acts as the office for the Marshal, bunks for the Fahldirs and a few cells.

- Marshal Tordelle Relbrak, a middle-aged dwarven woman, recent promotion so she's still getting her bearings, but still exudes an aura of formidability, her dark red hair is kept in a very tight bun on the back of her head, tries to maintain professionalism but enjoys a good joke too much sometimes.

- Melrus, Grynir, Darmus, Marva, Edri, Annia.

Ironkith House

- Also found near the market, carved in a very similar fashion to the other structures, but easy to isolate this one due to the royal crest being carved on the door (a battle axe and a miner's pick crossed over each other), kept well maintained.

- Inside is well furnished and comfortable, not extravagant but likely some of the most expensive furniture in the village, functions as the house for the royal representative that looks after Kom Durahl.

- Adnis, a male duregar with his white hair pulled into a short ponytail, seems matured and experienced, takes his job seriously and doesn't take too kindly to jokes, very well trained in self defense.
